Frequently Asked Patient Billing Questions.

Am I required to make payment at the time of service?
Co-payments will be requested at the time of service.

What if I don't have insurance coverage?
A Financial Counselor will discuss financial arrangements with you. A Financial Counselor is also available to assist you in determining if you qualify for financial assistance or if there are programs available that will help pay your balance. A Financial Counselor can be reached at 435-725-2060.

Will you bill my insurance company for me?
Yes. As a courtesy we will bill your insurance company. It is your responsibility to provide complete billing/insurance information at the time of registration. Please bring your identification card with you.

How can I pay my patient balance?
By Mail.
Send in your payment with the billing statement you received, through the postal mail, to 250 W 300 N 75-2, Roosevelt, Utah 84066.
By Phone.
Call a Financial Counselor at 435-725-2060. You can pay by debit or credit card. UBMC accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.
In Person.
You can make a payment in person at UBMC by dropping your payment off at our front door drop box, admitting desk or visiting a Financial Officer.
On-Line.
You can make a payment using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express by going to ubmc.org and clicking on the Online Payment Center link.

How long do I have to pay my bill?
A patient has 30 days from the time they receive their first billing statement to pay the balance in full.

What if I cannot pay my patient balance within 30 days?
We offer a variety of payment options:
Scheduled payments.
You can set up a 90-day same as cash payment plan by calling a Financial Counselor at 435-725-2060.
Open-end interest bearing charge account.
You can choose to have the hospital place your charges with MedSource Credit. To learn more, talk to our Financial Counselors at 435-725-2060 or call MedSource Credit at 888-678-0064.
ARCH Financial.
This program does not require credit approval and allows for an extended payment time period, typically 90 days to three years.

What if I can't pay my bill?
There are a number of public and private programs to help patients who are unable to pay. A Financial Counselor is available to assist you in determining if you qualify for financial assistance or if there are programs available that will help pay your balance. Will I receive more than one bill for my hospital services?
You may receive more than one bill when you receive services at UBMC. Physician services from Northeastern Utah Medical Group will be billed separately for treatment that was provided.
