      The Denial and Appeals specialist is responsible for reviewing denied claims and carrying out the appeals process at Uintah Basin Medical Center. This individual works to maintain third-party payer relationships, including responding to inquiries and other correspondence, and possibly setting up arbitration between parties. Also executes the denial appeals process, which includes receiving, assisting, documenting, tracking, responding to, and/or resolving appeals with third-party payers in a correspondence accurately, clearly, concisely, and professionally while following organizational regulations. Maintains data on the types of claims denied and root causes of denials, and collaborates with team members to make recommendations for improvements and resolving issues. Prepares, maintains, assists with, and submits repots as required. Regularly makes complex decisions within the scope of the position, and is comfortable working independently. Demonstrates teamwork and integrity in all work-related activities, pinpoints improvement opportunities and works closely with department manages to ensure proper implementation.

    • EMT
      Provide emergency medical services to suddenly ill or injured patients according to state and local guidelines and or protocols. Will be required to take calls and be available when scheduled; responsible for the care of the ambulance and other equipment; and effectively communicate well with patients and staff. In addition, ensure scene safety by being able to follow established protocols. Other duties will be assigned as needed within the Uintah Basin Healthcare organization. Qualifications:Must have current Utah EMT and CPR certification. Must be able to lift and carry 125 pounds and have a good driving record. In addition, have the ability to work in high stress environments. The qualified candidate must demonstrate good communication skills and work well as a team.

      The CNA for Home Care Services will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse with job functions that include but are not limited to the following: - Provides nursing care by performing simple, unskilled nursing tasks that enable the sick, disabled, and elderly to remain in their own homes.- Complies with requirements of the State of Utah. - Other tasks that include personal hygiene, bathing, dressing and light housekeeping.
